Mrs Bishop is the careers advisor for the school and holds one-to-one careers interviews throughout the week to help our students to plan their next steps.
100% of last year’s Year 11 leavers went on to further education or secured an apprenticeship.
Students can request an appointment by signing up on the careers noticeboard outside M6 or speak to Mrs Bishop directly at break. Further information or help is available in the Library, including access to the careers resources.
There are career related modules in PSHE lessons in Year 7 and 8 looking at skills and the work place. In Year 9 students focus on options and in Year 10 there is an introduction to post-16 options. By Year 11 the focus on careers includes mock interviews, mentoring, college taster sessions and events and one-to-one interviews for all students.
