Whitstone Celebrates GCSE Results
Students at Whitstone School proved that hard work, resilience and determination really do pay off, as they celebrated some fantastic GCSE results.
Top achiever, Amy Smith (pictured) was one of only a few hundred teenagers nationally to sweep the board with Grade 9s (A**) in all her subjects. This is a phenomenal achievement and is testament to her hard work and determination. Headteacher, Gill Rennard, said:
“Most of our students have achieved brilliant results and we are very proud of them. 71% gained one of the higher grades in English and 64% in Maths. The year group have secured places to study A Levels or Vocational courses at college, or to take up Apprenticeships. Whatever their chosen pathway, we wish them the very best of luck.”
We look forward to welcoming Year 11 back in November for Presentation Evening, where we will formally celebrate their results and achievements.
