Yeovil College Update

Yeovil College have been in touch with some exciting new information in regards to their campus, ‘Experience Month’, and apprenticeships.

DFE Announcement

We are beyond thrilled to share that over the Easter break the government released the news that 16 colleges based in the UK were being supported to improve their estate, and that Yeovil College was one of the 16! This is fantastic news and will play a huge part in our ambitious £30m+ campus transformation plan. Our status as an Institute of Technology (IoT) meant that not only were we fortunate enough to begin our plan last year, but also means that we are able to transform our entire campus into a 21st Century learning experience for our students. This is a hugely exciting time to be joining Yeovil College as a student, but also a hugely exciting time to be part of the Yeovil College community as your schools are. The full story can be found here - YEOVIL COLLEGE CONFIRMS £30 MILLION PLUS CAMPUS INVESTMENT - Yeovil College Yeovil College.

Experience Month – Launching 17th May

We are now less than 4 weeks away from the launch of our Experience Month, an event like never before. We strongly recommend getting your students registered in advance of using the event so that you are able to contact us should there be any issues that we haven’t foreseen. Registration only takes a couple of minutes and will require an email address and answers to a variety of questions – www.ycexperiencemonth.vfairs.com

If you are planning to use the event and haven’t done this yet already, please could you confirm your Year 10 numbers so that we are able to send you the correct amount of student and parent guides in advance of the event launching.

Apprenticeship Vacancies

As we head back to some level of normality, our employer partners are keen to secure their next cohort of apprentices to support their business. As a result we have a large variety of vacancies live and available on our website! With around 30 open vacancies, now could be the perfect time to secure an apprenticeship for your students. Our vacancies can be found here - Apprenticeship Job Offers, Find Apprenticeship Vacancies in Somerset | Yeovil College and we strongly recommend that your students contact our fantastic Apprenticeship Co-ordinators who will be able to support them throughout the application process (apprenticeships@yeovil.ac.uk).
