British Science Week success!

Here at Whitstone School we fully embraced British Science Week with lots of different activities happening in the Science department. Year 7 have been inventing their own specialized cells, Year 8 have been designing new planets (and what forms of life might live on them) and Year 9 have been doing research on Stem Cells. There has also been a school –wide cress growing competition where each Aspire group was given a cress growing kit and told to be as creative as possible with it. The class winners were 9HS with ‘Cressandra’ and special recognition goes to 8DG and 7HW. There was also a ‘Which Scientist am I?’ competition where clues were shown in different parts of the science department which students had to use to work out the name of the British Scientists
